Yogurt for Fertility
One of the foods you should aim to eat regularly if you’re trying to conceive is whole dairy products. Your hormones need the real fat to function correctly, and low-fat versions of food doesn’t meet that need. Make sure you’re still avoiding trans fats though, which can interfere with ovulation by increasing inflammation.
Yogurt Fruit Swirls
Ingredients
2 cups plain yogurt
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of cinnamon or ground ginger
3 peaches
½ pint blueberries
½ pint raspberries
12 cookies (any type)
In a large bowl, stir yogurt with sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Taste and add more cinnamon, if needed. Peel peaches. Slice in half, discard pit, and slice into thin wedges. Spoon a generous dollop of yogurt into the bottom of 12 glasses. Sprinkle with blueberries. Top with more yogurt. Cover with peach slices. Top with more yogurt. Sprinkle with raspberries. Top each with a whole cookie or crumble one overtop.
Keep these well covered and refrigerated for up to 2 hours before serving. Add cookie just before serving.
