The Best Workout for the Might-Be-Pregnant Momma
It’s not like a chill outside is the most enticing weather to suit up and go for a long run or head to the gym, since your car won’t even warm up until you get there. So workout inside! Because it’s so easy to motivate yourself to get up off the couch.
If you can get there – set up a time three mornings or nights a week, or only watch your favorite TV show while you do – there are many great video options online you can follow (for free!) for a nice low-impact workout. Low-impact workouts are recommended during pregnancy, and it’s a nice way to stay in shape without feeling like you were run over by a truck at the end of the workout. Check out these ideas:
Low-Impact Workouts
Any dance video/beat you enjoy
PiYo, a combination of pilates and yoga
Regular yoga, focusing on toning and breathing
Zumba, either a class or a video you can follow.
Swimming, while not a video, is a fantastic toning and cardio workout
So lace up those sneakers and grab a water bottle. You’re ready to have a good time with a workout that will keep your curves sharp, your heart healthy, and your body ready for a baby.
