Stories of Hope

April 10, 2017

We each have our own story to tell of our journey toward having a family. In sharing what we went through, we can share in each other’s triumphs, struggles, and joy. Today, we bring you some of our own patient’s stories, so we can feel their struggle but also celebrate with them in their happiness. We hope you take heart from the stories, and think about contacting us if you’d like more information or have questions.

Andy and Erica Warren

We were referred to The Fertility Center from our women’s health doctor, and we contacted The Fertility Center after one and a half years of unsuccessfully trying to conceive a child. We were afraid it would be expensive and emotionally draining.

At The Fertility Center, we were involved in the IVF Shared Risk Program, which spanned about two years of visits. Throughout this time, the center was accommodating in scheduling needs with a caring and supportive staff. There were times when we needed encouragement, and at those times they were reassuring. There were times where we were confused and they provided guidance or referred us to external supports. Finally, there were times where the experience was just too much to bear. At those times the staff was quietly understanding and patient. I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that the infertility road is easy, but neither is parenthood. However, at The Fertility Center, you are not going down that road by yourself. You will be joined by a knowledgeable, driven staff.

After years of trying on our own, we heard about The Fertility Center from a friend who was also going through treatment, and started our process. Our biggest fears included what the in vitro fertilization was, all the medications, the financial burden, and anything else we could find to worry about! The Fertility Center took away all the fears we had. We call the center our dream team because they were so attentive to our needs and really cared for us. Each time we visited and every time we called, they made us feel like we were the only clients they had. They answered every question we had and also answered the phone so kindly we never felt that anyone did not have time for us. What I remember best is that when I was so emotional and thought we could not take another step, they were right there encouraging us that we could do it!
