Can You Relate to Tamara?
“Don’t lose hope. When the sun goes down, the stars come out.”
Every family’s story is different, and we know there are often challenges to reaching your dreams. Our goal is to help you realize those dreams. This week, in honor of celebrating our dads this month, we bring you two stories of families who worked through the confusion and stress to a time to celebrate!
From Tamara Smith-Moore, of Shippensburg, PA:
My husband and I first contacted The Fertility Center after trying to get pregnant for about two years. My biggest fear before contacting The Fertility Center was that they wouldn’t be able to give me one-on-one, personalized care. I knew that when we called the office it would be the most important phone call we would ever make…it would either result in us having our much-anticipated first child, or more heartbreak.
Everyone from the secretaries to the office manager to Dr. Filer himself welcomed us with open arms when we arrived. We were able to get our initial appointment quickly and upon that first visit every single one of our questions was answered. Every time I arrived for a procedure I was a worried ball of nerves, and was always met by a kind and empathetic staff. We stayed with The Fertility Center throughout the first ten weeks of our pregnancy until they released us to our regular OB/GYN. Throughout those ten weeks, staff worked with us to schedule appointments around my work schedule and other special events. When we had trouble conceiving our second child, there was no doubt in our minds that we would return to The Fertility Center, which, of course, we did and are now expecting our second son. I would absolutely recommend The Fertility Center to anyone struggling with infertility and reproductive issues.
From Andy and Erica Warren, of York, PA:
We were referred to The Fertility Center from our women’s health doctor, and we contacted The Fertility Center after one and a half years of unsuccessfully trying to conceive a child. We were afraid it would be expensive and emotionally draining. At The Fertility Center, we were involved in the IVF Shared Risk Program, which spanned about two years of visits. Throughout this time, the center was accommodating in scheduling needs with a caring and supportive staff. There were times when we needed encouragement, at those times they were reassuring. There were times where we were confused and they provided guidance or referred us to external supports. Finally, there were times where the experience was just too much to bear. At those times the staff was quietly understanding and patient. I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that the infertility road is easy, but neither is parenthood. However, at The Fertility Center, you are not going down that road by yourself. You will be joined by a knowledgeable, driven staff. If a friend or family member were struggling with infertility, I would recommend The Fertility Center.
If you’re trying to grow your family, you don’t have to walk this road alone, not sure if you should hope. Schedule an appointment today to have someone by your side, by calling 717-747-3099 or clicking the button below.
