Soggy Sandwiches and Hot Dirt
Calloused, rough bare feet on a hot dirt path.
When my age was still in the single digits (ah, those were the days!), I would spend my summers in my small Maryland hometown. Or rather, I would spend them at the local creek, splashing and sloshing the day away.
My friends and I would run down to the creek as soon as our chores were done and heat started rising off the pavement. We’d whoop as we got closer and race each other to the highest part of the bank to jump in. Then we’d spend the day floating around, dunking each other, digging for worms, or wrestling. We’d usually stay until we got hungry, unless someone had managed to sweet talk their mom into making a bunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Soggy from the sun, I think that made the lunch taste even better.
Today, I look back on those memories every year as the summer heat takes over. And I know that not everyone is able to build a family with the ease and joy of a child in a creek on a summer day.
If you’re hoping to one day experience that sheer delight on your child’s face or give your child the experiences that shape their lives, but you just don’t know why you’re not getting pregnant, we can help. Or maybe you know there are some issues, but no one seems to be able to give you answers to help you conceive a little one. I have 30 years of experience helping couples create a family, and I can help you, too. Feel free to schedule an appointment by calling 717-747-3099 or clicking on the button below.
