An Apple Blossom and a Baby
Having hope will give you courage.
I remember the lack of sound. Or at least, the lack of regular sounds I was used to. No cars going by. No children’s voices. No sounds of dishes or cooking or doors closing.
Every year as a child, my family went apple picking. And when we first got there, it would seem so silent. The sounds of everyday life faded.
But then I would realize: there were different sounds. Quieter, maybe, but still there.
The sound of the high grass swishing as you walked through it. The sound of bees lazily buzzing overhead to pollinate the apple blossoms. The crunch of fallen leaves underfoot, and the satisfying sound of an apple as I plucked it from a branch. I can almost taste my mom’s apple pie now!
A delicious, crispy apple doesn’t grow without care. The right growing conditions, fertilizer, and ongoing maintenance of an orchard are all necessary foundations for the pie I enjoy.
Like an apple, many of us need intentional care as we try to grow our families. It’s not something that happens by luck or without paying attention, but rather, something for which we need a specialist to hear our goals and concerns and find the right path to building our family. Maybe it’s medication, or testing, or a procedure. Maybe its resources we wouldn’t otherwise have access to – like grafting a new type of apple onto another kind of tree.
Whatever you might need to get from where you are to where you want to be as a family, you’ll need thoughtful, expert care and guidance to get there. At The Fertility Clinic, we’re known for taking the time to listen to our patients, and to literally and figuratively hold their hands every step of the way.
